The geographical area dedicated to the production of Abruzzo DOC wine includes the entire coastal and foothill hilly area of the Abruzzi region. The foothills and hills on which vines are grown cover a strip of about 25 kilometres in width and about 125 kilometres in length, from the Tronto River to the Trignoa River, evidence of how much Montepulciano is a mountain wine.

The geographical area of the DOC Abruzzo denomination includes the entire coastal and foothill hilly area of the Abruzzi region, embracing the provinces of Chieti, L’Aquila, Pescara and Teramo. The Abruzzo DOC denomination dates back to 2010 as a testimony to how lively and strong the values of the territory are and its characteristics that make it unique. Different soils, climate, altitudes, the sea or mountains give these wines a full, majestic and rebellious character with an unmistakable balance and fullness of taste.
