Description
The Trevenezie IGT denomination identifies a territory, the Tre Venezie, whose name is linked to the Serenissima Republic. The city of Venice is its commercial and political domain over the current territories of Veneto, Friuli-Venezia Giulia and Trentino-Alto Adige.
Geographical area
The Murano glassmakers made an important contribution by raising the perception of wines thanks to the refined bottles and blown glass glasses that were immediately associated with quality wines and quickly spread throughout Europe.
Characteristic
The wines produced in the Venetian territories immediately became famous and were traded and marketed in many countries and ports where the native grapes and the wide range of wines so different from each other but united by an unmistakable fullness and pleasantness were appreciated. The Tre Venezie IGT appellation was created in 2016 and the wines of the appellation are mainly based on both native and international grape varieties.
